We are very proud of the fact that Lord Stevens, a distinguished national police officer, is our Patron.
He was Chief Constable for Northumbria Police before becoming Metropolitan Police Commissioner – a post from which he retired in January 2005. Lord Stevens was awarded the Queen’s Police Medal for distinguished service in 1991 and has received 27 commendations during his 42 year career.
